IFP willing to engage in conditional coalition

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP)’s Gauteng chairperson, Bonginkosi Dlamini, says they are only willing to engage in coalition talks with parties that are willing to humble themselves.

He says they want to create stable municipalities that are responsive to people’s needs.

“We have reported to our national leadership. We are in discussions with our leaders to see which way to go. Because us as IFP it’s a conditional application which instruct local government to provide service to people in sustainable manner. Therefore as IFP will be approaching all discussions on the basis that we need to see a government that is responsive and prioritises not side issues but issues that touch people’s lives.”
