“Imposing candidates led to ANC’s bad performance”

President of South African Unemployed Workers Union, Jabu Ntusi says the ANC failed to do well in the municipal elections because they imposed candidates on the people.

Speaking on Morning Live, Ntusi says the ANC failed to listen to the people on which candidates they preferred.

It’s more than a week since voting day and it’s still not clear as to who will be in control of the major metros like Tshwane, Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Nelson Mandela Bay, as there was no outright winner.

Ntusi says the results seen last week reflect the members anger at the ANC at branch level.

He says most ANC members then decided that they will not vote in the elections.
