ACDP takes door to door campaign to Western Cape

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) leader Kenneth Meshoe says they’re targeting at least five wards in the Drakenstein Municipality at Paarl in the Boland.

He embarked on a motorcade and walkabout in the area on Saturday ahead of Wednesday’s local government elections.

Meshoe has promised residents of the Chicago township in Paarl East better houses and services.

He has been campaigning across the Western Cape since Wednesday.

Residents say a lack of housing and violent crime are concerning.

“Because we want a change and it needs to be change, especially in this area, it’s a very difficult area. We don’t want to drive here at night because you can even lose your life.”

Residents say the law moust come in and handle things as the way it should be.

Meshoe says the party is growing fast in the Western Cape.
