ANC in KZN in its final push

It’s exactly a week today to the election and the African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal is in its final push.

The party has brought out its top leaders, including ANC NEC member Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as it seeks to solidify its support base in the province.

“We are trying to win everywhere. I am not going to tell you about the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP). We are the ANC we are campaigning here. We are leaving nothing to chance and we want to win.”

In the Eastern Cape, the party’s Treasurer General Zweli Mkhize flanked by Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and the local leadership, on a final push for the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro which has seen many party leaders descending on it as they jostle for control.

Mkhize says, “The response from our communities has been very positive. It’s very clear that the people still believe in the ANC.”
