ANC not shaken by polls – Ramaphosa

The African National Congress (ANC) says it’s not shaken by polls suggesting that it’s losing ground in some of the biggest metros it currently governs.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says the party is confident of victory in Tshwane, Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay, where it’s being reported that the party’s rule is seriously being threatened.

Ramaphosa has embarked on a door-to-door campaign at Tembisa in Ekurhuleni.

“As we go from house to house, street to street, person to person, handshake to handshake, eyeball to eyeball, that’s where we’re able to gauge the ANC’s positioning when it comes to these elections, and we’re absolutely certain that even in those metros that are dubbed as being marginal, we’re going to emerge enormously victorious.”
