Political parties continue to campaign for elections

Political parties are continuing with their election campaigns on Sunday, with just ten days to go to the Local Government Elections.

President Jacob Zuma will be canvassing for the African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo at the village of GaSeleka near Lephalale.

His deputy, Cyril Ramaphosa, will be in Tembisa, part of the Ekurhuleni Metro east of Johannesburg.

Meanwhile, Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane is in the Nelson Mandela Metro to bolster the opposition’s efforts to win the hotly contested Port Elizabeth-based metro.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema is taking his campaign trail to Sasolburg in the Free State.

Smaller parties are also campaigning hard, with the African Christian Democratic Party’s (ACDP) Kenneth Meshoe in Ekurhuleni and COPE is in Bisho in the Eastern Cape.
