Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says his party will need only five years to change the lives of people if voted into power.
Malema was addressing residents at Seshego outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
He says they will build quality houses for disadvantaged people.
Malema has taken the party’s electioneering campaign to his home township, Seshego outside Polokwane this weekend.
He has addressed rallies at various areas, including Seshego Extension 78, Mohlakanenga and Seshego Zone among other areas.
Malema says the party will be able to change lives of people within a short period.
“The EFF is the most powerful formation which will make things happen in less than three years. The EFF has grown. The EFF has impacted on the lives of the people, imagine if it was given power the EFF, it will change the living conditions of our people. We don’t need more than five years, we just want to change their lives within five years. We want to build proper houses with a nice design,” says Malema.
Some potential voters say they believe that Malema can fulfil his promises.
“Malema is a great leader because what he said in his speech is the truth. I’m going forward with the EFF and I’m seeing a big future with the EFF,” says one voter.
Malema has urged voters not to be intimidated into voting for other parties instead of the EFF on August 3.
“You must be scared of a miserable future for your children, you must be scared of unemployment. You must be scared of the inequality that exists among our people, don’t be scared of a human being. EFF is here,” says Malema.
Malema will take the parties electioneering campaign to various areas, including Molwela and Jupiter in the Aganang municipal area outside Polokwane on Monday.
The party’s mini-rallies are a build-up to the main rally to be held next Sunday when the party will be celebrating its third anniversary.
