She was campaigning in Welgeval village near Moruleng in the Moses Kotane Municipality.
The party has been sending its senior members including the President Julius Malema, to the province to campaign, in the past two weeks.
Mathys says rural villages that are often neglected will be given priority in the delivery of basic services such as water and sanitation.
“Our programme is going very well. We did door-to-door campaign, so we are very happy with the performance of our ground forces. So defiantly we expect a victory here,” says Mathys.
