African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) member and Minister of Transport Dipuo Peters says the ANC is not fazed by opposition parties thinking that they can unseat the party or form coalitions after local government elections.
Peters says the ANC will still run the Madibeng Local Municipality after the poll and all the challenges raised by communities will be addressed.
Some of the complaints raised by a Letlhabile community during her campaign include dirty drinking water, dysfunctional high mass lights and bad roads.
Peters promised to take up concerns with relevant departments.
“I think I can say to them, dream on, because the ANC is going to win this municipality. And beyond August 7 once the information or the results are pronounced, we will be the government of Madibeng. So, it is imp ortant that the people of Madibeng invest in a party that is going to win. Why waste your vote with an independent. And I think it is important that we really argue and ask our people not to be misled.”
