Malema says land in SA belongs to the majority

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says land in South Africa belongs to the majority.

He was speaking at the party’s Freedom Charter celebrations in Newcastle northern KwaZulu-Natal.

A sea of red gave Malema a warm welcome. EFF followers packed the stadium from early Sunday morning.

Malema told them that under EFF rule all black people will get land. He called upon those who own land to share it with their less privileged counterparts.

He also reiterated his party’s stance on nationalisation calling on government to revisit the Freedom Charter on nationalisation.

The EFF says it is ready to contest the August local government elections in KwaZulu-Natal.

In Gauteng the National Freedom Party (NFP) says it is been welcomed in the inner city of Johannesburg, it is currently campaigning ahead of the local government election in August.

The NFP’s Bheki Gumbi says, “We are busy campaigning in the inner city and we are doing door to door in the area.”

“We have targeted over 50 houses, and we have received a warm welcome from the people of this area, but the main issue here, is that this place is a tourist attraction, but they do not have ablution facilities, toilets and other things. As the party, those are the things we need to fix it as the NFP in ward 61,” says Gumbi.
