Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane says the party will ensure that there is no destruction of property, corruption and high unemployment should his party take control of various municipalities during the upcoming local government elections.
Maimane is campaigning at Verulam north of Durban on Saturday. Provincial and national leadership are part of the campaign.
He says the party has tangible and track record of good governance and therefore people must vote for it if they need change in their lives.
“I think we have got to be able to bring that government across the country, we have deliver basic services to everybody regardless of where they live let’s bring basic services.”
“Let’s ensure there is road infrastructure and there is water in their taps. But more importantly, let’s allow the economy of the country to grow so that more people can find jobs.”
“This is a struggle South Africa is involved in and there is a struggle to create jobs and the elimination of corruption.”
