DA braves rain to woo voters in W Cape

The Democratic Alliance (DA) says the heavy downpours in Cape Town will not stop its election campaign around various parts of the Cape Peninsula over the weekend.
Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille, is visiting Mitchells Plain on Sunday. She is set to talk about the DA’s service delivery record, job creation and the importance of clean governance.

Zille says come rain or sunshine, the DA will not stop spreading its message of progress.

“The DA is out in force in Mitchells Plain. It is wonderful to see the cascade and despite the pouring rain, the gazebos are out, the activists are out distributing pamphlets. Our message to the voters is “let’s keep making progress”. If you live under a DA government, we move forward-step by step every day. They have come out in their numbers, they are packing under the gazebos and then they will walk door to door with their umbrellas.”
