FF Plus to launch LGE 2016 manifesto

The Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) will on Saturday unveil an eight-point plan manifesto which is aimed at reviving cash-strapped municipalities.

Party leader Pieter Mulder will launch the manifesto in Pretoria on Saturday morning.

Recent opinion polls have shown an increase in support for the party.

The FF+ is now contesting more than 3 000 municipalities with candidates in all major cities.

Party spokesperson Wouter Wessels says, “The manifesto is based on eight points that we regard as the plan to turn around local government.”

He says, “We know that municipalities in South Africa are currently in a bleak financial situation and that translates to a bleak picture with regards to service delivery.”

Wessels adds, “So we say there are solutions to that problem and the manifesto contains eight concrete plans  to move local government forward and to better the  livelihoods of all.”
