The National Freedom Party was on the campaign trail in Osizweni outside Newcastle in northern KwaZulu-Natal ahead of their manifesto launch next weekend.
Party chairperson Maliyakhe Shelembe says they are engaging with communities in a door-to-door campaign. Shelembe promised that party president, Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi, who has been out of the public eye due to illness, will be at the launch in Vryheid.
He says, “We have decided that we will go and meet with ordinary people, we are here to mobilise. There are other senior leaders of the party who are throughout the country, some are in the North West, and some are in Uthungulu.”
At the party’s manifesto launch, Shelembe says the leader of the NFP will be appearing as she has not bee seen in public for a while.
