The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal believes it can help solve the challenges faced by communities at Umkhanyakude and Zululand in northern KwaZulu Natal.
The party says these areas have high rates of unemployment and have also been hit hard by drought.
Provincial DA leader, Zwakele Mncwango is currently visiting these communities as part of the party’s local elections’ campaign. He says if given a chance the party can help these communities to improve their lives.
Mncwango says “What we actually picked up when we interacted with the communities out there is the frustration around the high level of unemployment, where majority of young people are unemployed and the frustration coming from drought.
“So basically the major issue in Umkhanyakude is corruption, water and also level of unemployment.
