ANC will never be unseated in Nelson Mandela Bay: Ndoni

About eight political parties have gathered at the Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape for an election debate.

The African National Congress (ANC), Congress of the People, Economic Freedom Fighters, Democratic Alliance and United Democratic Movement are some of the parties that will be contesting the leadership of the Metro in the upcoming local government elections on August 3.

Former Nelson Mandela Bay deputy mayor, Bicks Ndoni says the ANC will never be unseated from the Nelson Mandela Bay. “The dream that many people had that one day they will unseat the ANC in the Nelson Mandela Metro is no longer there .”

“I think the people seated here they know deep in their hearts that time has passed. We have made good improvements ever since we took over in the Nelson Mandela Metro,” Ndoni added.

Meanwhile the UDM Mongameli Bobani says the party expects to win 60 % of the votes.

“People voted for the UDM for ward 30 and the UDM beat all the odds. The ANC and the DA were there and the UDM won that ward. It will do the same on the 3rd of August the UDM will win with a clean majority of 60%.”
