Western Cape party leaders to embark on election campaigns

Democratic Alliance Western Cape leader and Cape Town Mayor, Patricia de Lille, will embark on an election campaign at Hangberg in Hout Bay on Saturday.

De Lille is expected to conduct door-to-door visits in the area before launching a walk-about in the Imizamo Yethu informal settlement.

Leader of the African People’s Convention, Themba Godi, is also expected to campaign in the settlement with a mass rally.

Western Cape leaders of the South African Communist Party (SACP) are meanwhile expected to campaign in Khayelitsha with door-to-door visits.

The party says they want to revitalise the SACP’s Red Brigade volunteers ahead of the elections.
