African National Congress (ANC) Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the Western Cape ANC’s manifesto launch to be held at the Site C Stadium in Khayelitsha on the 5th of June.
Provincial spokesperson, Yonela Diko, says the manifesto will cover various issues, including service delivery and crime.
“Given what is happening in this province and the rest of the provinces in South Africa that are governed by the African National Congress will gather site c stadium for our manifesto.”
“We have to say that the African National Congress has moved leaps and bounds in trying to make sure that the delivery of services spreads, it fast-tracks, it’s given a sense of urgency and it reaches the intended people.”
Meanwhile KwaZulu-Natal ANC deputy chairperson, Premier Willies Mchunu, has called on party members to raise their concerns over ANC issues within party structures.
Mchunu, who was sworn in as KZN Premier this week, was addressing ANC members at the Moses Mabhida People’s Park at a mini-rally ahead of the local government elections.
Mchunu called on ANC and alliance members not to raise their concerns in the media or by way of protests.
