EFF leader, Julius Malema, has warned supporters that his party will not buy votes by handing out t-shirts or food parcels.
Malema addressed a packed Gugulethu Sport Complex on the Cape Flats.
Before he started speaking, a group in the hall chanted for t-shirts but Malema told them t-shirts won’t make a difference in their lives.
“I don’t go around with t-shirts and food parcels. I go around with a message. Don’t choose me for material, choose me for what I stand for. I don’t buy votes, there is no food parcel or t-shirt here, there is a message of hope for you,” said Malema.
Malema also had a stern warning to supporters to guard public property. Referring to the vandalised and burnt schools at Vuwani in Limpopo,
Malema says people should direct their dissatisfaction to appropriate structures.
