SA must build a stronger economy: Maimane

DA leader Mmusi Maimane says that the country has to strive to build a stronger economy.

He was speaking during a visit to the Waaihoek Wesleyan Church in Mangaung, Bloemfontein.

The church was the birth place of the ANC back in 1912.

Maimane says that millions of people remain unemployed and cannot benefit from the growth that the country is experiencing.

He says, “We must build an economy that addresses the racial inequality and the structural inequalities of our society. The economy says that we must address the legacy of apartheid that still exists. We must build an economy that opens up opportunities for more South Africans.”

Maimane says that the DA wants to look on how the ANC has turned its back on its people.

Next weekend, the DA will launch its election manifesto in Johannesburg, which it hopes will be a spectacular event of diversity and richness.
