ANC aims to give all to stay in power

The African National Congress (ANC) has vowed to fight hard to stay in power in the country’s main metros.

The organisation has been concerned with its dwindling votes and opposition parties’ fierce campaign to take over.

ANC Head of Campaigns, Nomvula Mokonyane, says they are confident of the positive results because they are putting in their best.

“We will give our all to Tshwane, Nelson Mandela, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein Buffalo City and all our municipalities, we are the only party contesting every ward in South Africa no other party is doing that, we have placed candidates everywhere, we go in.”

Supporters of the ANC are expected to descend on the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday for the launch of the ANC local government manifesto.

The ANC says they are putting together a programme and will launch an elections song. Mokonyane says they are expecting 7 000 buses and taxis.
