Malema and his entourage visited Giyani for constituency and oversight work. The EFF leader was warmly welcomed.
He visited destitute families across Giyani.

The families he visited were surprised and excited by his unannounced visit. The Motshabe family from Xikukwane village pleaded that he build them a house.
Petrus Motshabe says government has promised them better lives but have not delivered. The family continues to stay in huts after so many years of democracy.
Malema says service delivery is everyone’s right. He drove around Giyani checking the state of roads, houses and water supply.
He says this is part of electioneering as local government elections will take place soon. Malema adds that people still don’t have roads, water and houses.
The EFF leader says he will take their findings back to Parliament.
He also visited Nkhensani hospital where people had complained about the condition of wards and services. The EFF leader says the hospital isn’t that bad because it’s the only hospital in the area.
After the visit, Malema addressed members of his party at a local hall.
