ANC national top six in Cape Town

Members of the African National Congress (ANC) national top six have arrived at a Cape Town hotel, where the ruling party’s Western Cape leadership issues are expected to come under the spotlight.

An announcement is expected on who will replace Marius Fransman as provincial leader, following an instruction for him to step down while criminal charges of sexual harassment are being probed.

This comes after Fransman was asked to step aside pending the completion of an investigation into sexual harassment charges against him.

The fate of provincial secretary, Faiez Jacobs, who’s facing an assault charge, will also be discussed behind closed doors.
