DA must talk to members about creating jobs: IFP

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has called on the Democratic Alliance (DA) to ask its wealthy members to invest in the country instead of marching for the creation of jobs.

On Wednesday, thousands of DA supporters marched in Johannesburg calling on government to create jobs.

Gauteng IFP Chairperson, Bonginkosi Dhlamini, says political organisations marching for jobs are opportunists.

“We have seen the ANC marching for jobs; we have seen the DA marching for jobs; and even the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). When you look at the DA, its constituency is mostly people who have money, who must invest in our economy in confidence. We are, therefore, challenging the DA that if its serious about job creation it must make sure that it talks good about South Africa and create a conducive environment for investment.”

Dhlamini says the ANC needs policies that are conducive to the creation of employment opportunities.

“As for the ANC, it’s laughable and a joke because they are in government; they must create that environment. They must make sure that they implement good policies that are there in our country.”
