ANCYL calls for ANC NEC to account for performance in LGE

The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) is calling for the accountability from the National Executive Committee (NEC) and action against those who have tamed the image of the African National Congress says ANCYL spokesperson Mlondi Mkhize.
This comes after the ANCYL called for the NEC to go to an early uncontested conference in a bid to have a frank dialogue about the party’s fortunes and rediscover its glory again.
However, the ANC has taken collective responsibility for its dismal performance in the elections.
Speaking on AM Live, Mkhize says the view of Youth League is that it agrees with the NEC that it wants to take collective responsibility on the outcomes and performance of the ANC.
“It is in that spirit that we are saying that the collective must come and account to the members of the ANC which will be represented by delegates to a conference. What is that this collective has done and what measures are they going to take to ensure that we avert the current situation?”
