Conservatives in Action (CIASA) is led by Samuel H Kennedy, who according to the party played a key role in changing the party’s name from the People’s Alliance (PAL) to its current name.

According to the CIASA, the majority of the established political parties in SA are either Socialist, Marxist/Communist on the one hand or neoliberal on the other, with some far-right Christian and Muslim Reconstructionist parties to ethnic nationalists.

The CIASA focuses on the centre-right conservative ideological spectrum.

2024 Elections | Sol Plaatje Municipality in Kimberley urges parties to remove election posters

The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party picketed outside the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court in KwaZulu-Natal. This is in relation to the court appearance of the Electoral Commission's area manager in Pietermaritzburg, who is suspected of tampering with ballot papers in the recent elections. Earlier this month, the party announced that it would approach an international court over the alleged rigging of last month's elections. MK leader in the Moses Mabhida region Reggie Ngcobo says there are other outstanding cases that are not on a court roll. Ngcobo says the party is continuing its fight to challenge the outcome of the national and provincial elections. Let's now bring in Legal analyst Reitumetse Phiri, who joins us via video link.
