{"id":964085,"date":"2024-07-03T09:02:49","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T09:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/dm-simulator-v2\/?p=964085"},"modified":"2024-07-03T09:02:49","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T09:02:49","slug":"motorists-urged-to-avoid-esselen-park-following-cash-in-transit-heist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elections.sabc.co.za\/elections2024\/motorists-urged-to-avoid-esselen-park-following-cash-in-transit-heist\/","title":{"rendered":"Motorists urged to avoid Esselen Park after CIT heist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes due to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabcnews.com\/sabcnews\/police-kill-two-alleged-cash-in-transit-robbers-in-kzn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cash-in-transit<\/a> incident in <\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Tembisa<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">, on Gauteng&#8217;s East Rand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">According to <\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Ekurhuleni<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">\u00a0Metro Police spokesperson Marie\u00a0<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Mashishi,<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">\u00a0the roads between New Road and Sam\u00a0<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Molele<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">\u00a0Drive in the\u00a0<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Libili<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\"> section have been temporarily closed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">Mashishi<\/span><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\"> says motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and avoid the area until further notice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-gb\">&#8220;We urge the motorists to use the alternative route, which is link road towards Esselen Park just before Tembisa licencing department.
