{"id":964091,"date":"2024-07-03T08:50:45","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T08:50:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/dm-simulator-v2\/?p=964091"},"modified":"2024-07-03T08:50:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T08:50:45","slug":"access-to-eskom-information-will-help-resolve-energy-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elections.sabc.co.za\/elections2024\/access-to-eskom-information-will-help-resolve-energy-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Access to Eskom information will help resolve energy crisis&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Electricity and Energy Deputy Minister Samantha Graham says having access to information on Eskom will help them resolve the country&#8217;s energy crisis and ensure that there is no corruption.<\/p>\n<p>She spoke to <em>SABC News<\/em> in Cape Town ahead of a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabcnews.com\/sabcnews\/zondo-to-preside-over-swearing-in-of-deputy-president-ministers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed Cabinet members.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The power utility has in the past blamed its problems on sabotage and theft of coal by organised gangs.<\/p>\n<p>Graham is joining Electricity and Energy Minister Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa who has been reappointed to his position.<\/p>\n<p>Graham says she is looking forward to working with Ramokgopa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve always had respect for Dr. Ramokgopa and certainly he has proven himself irrespective of what we&#8217;ve called him out on.
