{"id":964406,"date":"2024-07-05T09:42:04","date_gmt":"2024-07-05T09:42:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/dm-simulator-v2\/?p=964406"},"modified":"2024-07-05T09:42:04","modified_gmt":"2024-07-05T09:42:04","slug":"final-send-off-for-yet-another-gbv-victim-in-the-free-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elections.sabc.co.za\/elections2024\/final-send-off-for-yet-another-gbv-victim-in-the-free-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Final send off for yet another GBV victim in the Free State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span xml_lang=\"en-us\">Friends and family have gathered to bid their final goodbyes to yet another gender-based violence (GBV) victim in Bloemfontein in the Free State.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-us\">Thirty-five-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabcnews.com\/sabcnews\/bail-hearing-of-bloem-man-accused-of-murdering-girlfriend-postponed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bongiwe Phulampa<\/a> was stabbed to death allegedly by her boyfriend two weeks ago. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-us\">The funeral service is underway at Vulamasango High School in Rocklands.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-us\">Phulampa was stabbed multiple times when she returned from attending a church service on Sunday, June 23. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span xml_lang=\"en-us\">The incident happened at her family home where she reportedly lived with her 39-year-old boyfriend, Siphiwe Masithela, who has since been arrested.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>VIDEO | Phulampa&#8217;s grandmother shares what happened on the day of the incident:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: none;
