{"id":964468,"date":"2024-07-06T04:39:37","date_gmt":"2024-07-06T04:39:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/dm-simulator-v2\/?p=964468"},"modified":"2024-07-06T04:39:37","modified_gmt":"2024-07-06T04:39:37","slug":"no-boks-ireland-matches-on-sabc-tv-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elections.sabc.co.za\/elections2024\/no-boks-ireland-matches-on-sabc-tv-today\/","title":{"rendered":"No Springboks-Ireland match on SABC TV today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The public broadcaster will no longer broadcast the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabcnews.com\/sabcnews\/boks-face-ireland-in-battle-of-worlds-best\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Springbok Inbound Test matches against Ireland <\/a>for today and next Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released on Friday, the SABC says this decision will impact TV broadcast only and the matches will be carried live on several radio stations.<\/p>\n<p>The SABC says the decision follows a recent urgent litigation at the Competition Appeal Court over the broadcast rights to the Test matches which necessitated the SABC to review its decision to continue with the sub-licence Agreement concluded with Multichoice.<\/p>\n<p>The match kicks off at 5pm this evening.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi says today&#8217;s test match against Ireland at Loftus Versfeld stadium in Pretoria is about one thing for his team &#8211; and that is winning the clash and in doing so, defending the Springboks&#8217; number one ranking in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Kolisi says because Ireland is the only team this Springbok group has not beaten, the test match is incredibly important.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s about winning this test match, that is what we want to do.
