Lobby group\u00a0Equal Education has called for the removal of corruption accused Zizi Kodwa<\/a> as a member of the Basic Education Portfolio Committee and a Member of Parliament.<\/p>\n

Equal Education says it has written to the African National Congress Chief Whip Mdumiseni Ntuli to register its concerns and called for the immediate removal of Kodwa.<\/p>\n

The lobby group says the charges that Kodwa faces raise grave concern about his suitability for his role in the National legislature.<\/p>\n

The organisation says Kodwa’s nomination is an insult to learners who rely on effective legislative oversight to guarantee the provision of quality education.<\/p>\n

Equal Education says the importance of ethical governance and the highest levels of integrity cannot be overstated for a role that demands such commitment, as outlined in Parliament’s own Code of Ethical Conduct.<\/p>\n
