ANC Spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri says the party will wait for a full report into the cause of the bus crash that killed at least nine party<\/a> supporters from Mpumalanga. They died while travelling back home from the party\u2019s manifesto launch in Durban.<\/p>\n Their bus overturned on the R33 between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg in northern KwaZulu-Natal.<\/p>\n The party\u2019s provincial leaderships from Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal have travelled to the scene.<\/p>\n Bhengu-Motsiri says this is a loss for the party.<\/p>\n \u201cThey passed on in the line of duty, with their boots on. As justice to them, we are going to intensify our campaign to make sure that the African National Congress (ANC) wins this election. That\u2019s the only way we can really honour those comrades who have fallen, but you also want to say that our comrades who have fallen would not want their passing to be watered down. What they came here for, they would want us to move forward. They would want us to honour them by making sure that the key messages contained in the elections manifesto are communicated and that is what we\u2019re going to do.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking on the turnout at the ANC\u2019s manifesto<\/a>, Bhengu-Motsiri says the party\u2019s ground forces surpassed the leadership\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n \u201cOur supporters were unbelievable; they were enthused; they were vibrant. The ANC came alive! The ANC showed its full might! In fact, our ground forces surpassed the expectations of the leadership in terms of how they rose, also to defend their movement against all manner of public narrative that suggests that we don\u2019t have presence in this province. The ANC is loved in this province. So, the mini rallies that were staged in various regions in the province were massively supported. We had no doubts that they were going to fill the stadium, because we are really not about \u2018Stadiumology\u2019.
