Political analyst Professor <\/span>Sethulego<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Matebesi<\/span> says he is not surprised by names of a few people that have made a comeback on the candidate list of the\u00a0African National Congress<\/a> (ANC) <\/span>ahead of the elections in less than 90 days from now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former Provincial Spokesperson of the <\/span>ANC<\/span> Oupa<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Khoabane<\/span> and former\u00a0<\/span>MEC<\/span> for Finance <\/span>Elzabe<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Rockman<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>have been included.<\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span>he candidate list has seen the exclusion of allies of the former premier Ace\u00a0<\/span>Magashule<\/span>, namely,\u00a0<\/span>Vusi<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Tshabalala<\/span>, Sam\u00a0<\/span>Mashinini<\/span>, William\u00a0<\/span>Bulwane<\/span> and others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matebesi<\/span> says, \u201c<\/span>There are a few people that don\u2019t surprise me on that list, like for instance Oupa Khoabane, who has been the spokesperson of the African National Congress. He knows the internal dynamics of the ANC in the province.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut also very surprising, people who are currently serving in the provincial legislature like Sam Mashinini, not making it [to the list]. But that can also be indicative of the leadership change within the province,\u201d adds Matebesi.<\/span><\/p>\n
