{"id":967247,"date":"2024-05-26T05:13:25","date_gmt":"2024-05-26T05:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/dm-simulator-v2\/?p=967247"},"modified":"2024-05-26T05:13:25","modified_gmt":"2024-05-26T05:13:25","slug":"da-to-make-final-appeal-to-voters-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elections.sabc.co.za\/elections2024\/da-to-make-final-appeal-to-voters-today\/","title":{"rendered":"DA to make final appeal to voters today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"rt-reading-time\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\">2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabcnews.com\/sabcnews\/vote-for-us-to-liberate-south-africa-da\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Democratic Alliance<\/a> (DA) is set to hold its final election rally today which, it says, is a celebration of the inroads the party has made through its election campaign but also an acknowledgment that the DA will keep fighting for the issues of the citizenry.<\/p>\n<p>The rally will take place at the Willowmore Cricket Stadium in Benoni, in the east of Johannesburg today where its leader John Steenhuisen will also use the gathering to deliver an important message.<\/p>\n<p>The official opposition\u2019s national spokesperson Solly Malatsi says the political party has already held a series of rallies across the provinces and today\u2019s rally will be a culmination of the party\u2019s election campaign activities.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to encourage people to vote for the party, Malatsi made a final call saying: \u201cOur manifesto is a package of issues that affect all South Africans and that is why we even termed it \u2018The rescue plan for South Africa\u2019.
