Leader of the Democratic Alliance Federal Council, Helen\u00a0<\/span>Zille<\/span>,<\/span> says she is confident that the Democratic Alliance (DA) will retain the Western Cape with a convincing majority<\/a> in the elections on Wednesday. <\/span><\/div>\n

She was speaking <\/span>at\u00a0<\/span>Pinelands\u00a0<\/span>High School\u00a0<\/span>in Cape Town where she cast her special vote<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Eligible voters who applied for special votes will cast their ballots over the next two days. Over 1.6 million people have applied for special votes.<\/div>\n

Zille<\/span>\u00a0says\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>ANC<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>will get under 50% of the vote nationally.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWe would love to get more than 50% nationally but obviously, it would be brilliant for South Africa if that would happen but you don\u2019t live in castles in the sky, you do your polling every day and you know what the reality is\u2026but I am satisfied that we will go forward.\u201d<\/div>\n
