The Electoral Commission (IEC) says 22.6percent of 23 292 voting districts which represents 2.3 million votes cast on May 29. Results will be completed once all results slips have been audited.

By 4pm, Gauteng had captured 28 percent of votes, Limpopo 26, North West percent, Northern Cape 63 percent, Free State 56 percent, KZN, 23 percent, Mpumalanga 42 percent, Eastern Cape 57 percent.
