Police have arrested 13 people, including two suspects wanted on charges of hijacking a truck and motor vehicle theft near Kraaifontiein in Cape Town.
Police spokesperson F.C Van Wyk says they were led to an address near the Civic Centre where they arrested 13 foreign nationals.
He says one suspect was allegedly involved in the hijacking of three trucks worth around R40 million between Laingsburg and Cape Town.
Van Wyk says a second suspect was also nabbed for a case of motor vehicle theft.
“All arrested persons will be charged with immigration-related offences as their documents were found to be fraudulent. The investigation is still ongoing.”
