Political analyst Dr Imraan Buccus says pre-election talk by political parties should be taken with a pinch of salt particularly when it comes to the formation of coalitions. This comes after some parties such as the IFP previously indicated they they would never coalesce with the ANC. “Coalitions are a mechanism of politics. Politics is about power,” he said.
