IEC chief electoral officer Sy Mamabolo has moved to allay any doubts over the IEC’s recruitment of auditors tasked to approve the results of the 2024 elections.
He told the media at a briefing on Thursday, a day after the elections that: “Result auditors are appointed by the Commission following a recruitment process.”
He adds the recruitment of competent auditors was done via three firms.
